In the series Fleshed Out, I imagine alternative landscapes that reflect a fragmented human connection to the environment. Biomorphic forms signal human impact, or traces of the human spirit left behind. In our relentless consumption we are warned of a future in which we become ensnared by landscape we have plundered. Ethereal dreamscapes become private nightmares; post-apocalypitic climates transform into otherworldly forms. Each scar, a testament to trials endured, echoes the changes etched upon the surface by cataclysmic events of ages past, and future.
